Coy was the individual runner-up for last year's state championship Hill City Rangers cross country team. Coy has
been 3rd in the 800m at the last two Class A state track meets. He was also the Dakota Elite 800 meter champion, running
1:55.50. Coy was 3rd in the Class A 400 meters as a freshman and ran 50.5 in the event as a sophomore. Coy
was 5th in the Class A 1600 last season, finishing behind the three other contenders in the 2008 State XC meet: Muntefering(2nd),
Mendoza(3rd) and Whirlwind Solder(4th).
